Hands on open hearth cooking class Jan. 31st, 2010 Hands-on open hearth cooking class on January 3, 2010 Classes will focus on the fundametals of open hearth cooking. We will be using period receipts, primarily 18th century. Group is limited to 6-8 people max. Classes are approximatly 4-5 hours long. We will be learning the diversity of the cooking and eating habits in early America, what types of food colonists would eat, and how they would prepare it.
